Thanks to strong cooperation with Telnic the .tel domain names Registry, the upcoming version of voipGATE’s softphone will integrate all the .tel Directory services and functionalities. Ease-of-access and contact management options provided by any .tel name will become instantly available to customers of the Luxembourg-based Voice-Over IP operator.

Integrating the .tel functionalities within our softphone interface will be a strong step forward, allowing people to store all their contacts’ details in one place, with phone calls only one-click away. Any voipGATE customer holding a .tel domain name can activate the functionality from its voipGATE softphone and will be able to manage and use its .tel information directly inside our softphone interface.

If the person you are trying to reach through its .tel name is in a foreign country, the softphone will immediately detect this and connect you appropriately.
