4 Cisco CUCM 7.0 Setup

4.1 Login via Web Browser

Open Cisco Unified CM Administration by entering the IP address of the CUCM into the Web Browser address field and log in using an appropriate Username and Password.

 

4.2 Creating a SIP Trunk Security Profile

 

Choose System > Security Profile > SIP Trunk Security Profile.

  • To add a new profile, click Add New in the Find window. (You can also display a profile and then click Add New.) The configuration window displays with the default settings for each field.
  • To copy an existing security profile, locate the appropriate profile and click the Copy icon for that record in the Copy column. (You can also display a profile and then click Copy.) The configuration window displays with the configured settings.
  • To update an existing profile, locate and display the appropriate security profile. The configuration window displays with the current settings.

The following is a screen capture of the SIP Trunk Security Profile used as an example.
Click Save to commit the configuration.

  • Enable Digest Authentication : Uncheck
  • Incoming Transport Type: UDP
  • Outgoing Transport Type: UDP
  • Incoming Port: 5060

 

4.3 Configuring a SIP Trunk

Select Device > Trunk from the top menu then click “Add New” to begin adding a new SIP trunk.

 

 

Select “SIP Trunk” as the Trunk Type and the Device Protocol field will
automatically be change to “SIP”. Click Next to continue.

 

 

Enter the appropriate information for the SIP Trunk. Use the following screen capture as a guide for your own configuration. Click Save to complete.
*Note: Make sure Media Termination Point Required is checked. This will cause CUCM to include SDP information in its initial SIP Invite message.

 

 

 

  • Destination Address: obligatory
  • Destination Port: obligatory
  • MTP Prefered Originating Codec: G711alaw
  • SIP Trunk Security Profile: SIP TRUNK VOIPGATE


Click Save and complete.
